  My domestic partner and I stopped for dinner last Tuesday evening. The flavors were Odd and the food was greasy. We were somewhat intimidated by the older woman who waited on us........She was constantly looking for positive remarks regarding the food served.
  
  We have had World-Class Middle Eastern/Pakistani/Indian Food in ALL of our travels.
  
  THIS Food was not very good. We recommend Nashville or even Knoxville, TN for good Middle Eastern Food!!
  
  We would never go back to The India Palace in Cookeville, TN.

  First of all, I will not recommend this place to anyone 'period'. There are only 5-6 dishes served as part of their lunch menu. Nothing tastes like Indian. I suggest to change its category as it never belong to 'indian' cuisine for sure. We drove there on our way to smoky. A total of 7 people, no one liked it. Btw, please dont even think about consuming whatever they have on their billing counter. And lady over there was exasperating.

  While less spicy than transitional Indian cuisine, the food is of superb quality hosted by a great staff in a welcoming environment.
